Armor V2

Armor V2 is an upgrade system that transforms your combined ore armor into unique 3D custom models. Every combined ore armor set can be upgraded to a V2 variant at a Smithing Table.

How to Upgrade

Step 1: Craft the Upgrade Template

Craft an Armor Upgrade V2 smithing template at a crafting table:

Step 2: Upgrade at Smithing Table

Use the Smithing Table with:

• Template: Armor Upgrade V2
• Base: Any combined ore armor piece (e.g., Pyronite Helmet)
• Addition: Netherite Ingot
• Result: V2 variant (e.g., Pyronite Helmet V2)

What Changes

• Custom 3D models — each V2 piece has unique geometry, not just a flat texture overlay
• New textures — distinct V2 appearance per material
• Same abilities — V2 armor keeps all the same set abilities as the original
• Enchantments preserved — all enchantments carry over during the upgrade
• Slightly lower durability — V2 armor trades a small amount of durability for the visual upgrade

What Stays the Same

• Full set ability detection (wearing 4 V2 pieces counts as a full set)
• Armor protection values
• Repairability with the matching ingot
• Armor trim support

Armor Trims

All armor in Combine Ores — both regular and V2 — supports vanilla Minecraft armor trims. You can apply any trim template and material at a Smithing Table, just like vanilla armor.
