How Ore Combining Works

Combining ores is simple — place two different vanilla materials side by side in a crafting table to create a new combined ingot. Each combination produces a unique material with special abilities.

The seven base materials that can be combined are:

Every pair of materials creates a unique combined ore. Here's the full combination grid:

Crafting Your First Combined Ore

1. Gather two different base materials (e.g., Copper Ingot + Iron Ingot)
2. Place them side by side in a crafting table
3. Receive the combined ingot (e.g., Coppered Iron Ingot)
4. Use the combined ingot in standard crafting recipes to make weapons, tools, and armor

Weapon Types

Each combined ingot can be crafted into up to 15 different items. In addition to vanilla tool types (Sword, Axe, Pickaxe, Shovel, Hoe), Combine Ores adds several new weapon categories:

• Hammer — High damage melee weapon, smashes enemies away
• Chakram — Throwable weapon that returns to you
• Staff — Charge and release to shoot a magic projectile
• Blaster — Shoots a unique projectile
• Scythe — Ranged melee weapon that hits in an area
• Drill — Universal mining tool that can mine all block types
• Spear — Melee weapon with charge abilities
• Wolf Armor — Protective armor for your wolf

The Guidebook

The addon includes an in-game Combine Ores Guide item. Use it to browse all materials, their combinations, weapon stats, and ability descriptions. The guidebook also includes per-player ability toggles via the Admin Settings page.

Ability Themes

Each combined ore has a signature ability theme that applies across all its weapons. For the full list with descriptions, see Materials Comparison.
